Men's: St. Lawrence (8-10-2) vs Brown (6-6-3)

Tonight marks the start of the stretch run for St. Lawrence, as they play all ECAC games from here on out. After a promising start to the season that saw the Saints ranked 17th after 4 weeks. Now, the Saints are 8-10-2, and have seemingly forgotten to play defense. Brown comes to Appleton tonight with a better record than SLU, but having played less games.  The Saints tied Brown earlier in the year 3-3, but were leading 3-2 until Dennis Robertson tied the game on a power play with 1:22 remaining in the game.
This time around, the Saints will need to focus on stopping the tandem of Mark Naclerio, Nick Lappin, and Matt Lorito, the leading scorers for Brown.  SLU has struggled defensively for much of the year, and those are players you can't struggle against, because they will make you pay.
Neither goalie for Brown sports a great GAA, so if SLU can get some shots on net, and go to the dirty areas in front of the net, the goals should come easily.  As always, whether the Saints will win depends on the play of the defense and goalie.  I would expect Matt Weninger to start, Carvel seems to feel more comfortable with him in net.
Also, the neutral zone play for the Saints against UVM was just terrible, and it led to at least two goals. If the Saints clean that up, it should help their offensive transition, something they use to their advantage when its working.
Puck drops at 7:00 PM.
